Out of Home Care (OOHC) & Voluntary Out of Home Care (VOOHC)

  • Treehouse has residential accreditation with the Office of the Children's Guardian and currently provides Short Term Emergency Placements (STEP) and Individual Placement Arrangements (IPA).

    Since 2014, Treehouse has been supporting young people in care throughout NSW. We’re create 'innovative families' that unite trained professionals with children and young people who have endured trauma, neglect, or abuse. Working closely with young people in our care, we guide them on their journey towards healing from their past experiences and create a secure environment where they can establish connections, build trust, and gradually move away from survival mode.

  • Treehouse is a trusted provider of additional support services to meet the needs of vulnerable children/young people in out of home care (OOHC)

    The Casework Support Scheme (CSS) enables the Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) frontline caseworkers to purchase additional support services tailored to meet the needs of vulnerable children and young people in out-of-home care (OOHC) placements.

    This allows children and young people to access a diverse range of services, beyond what is provided in their placement. These services facilitate connections and relationships through supervised contact and respite, as well as provide essential support such as mentoring and transportation services.

    Support services available for purchase under CSS—including supervised contact, supervised transport, mentoring, and respite—play a vital role in maintaining children and young people's connections with their families, laying the groundwork for potential restoration.

    At Treehouse, we offer a comprehensive range of CSS services to support vulnerable children and young people:

    Mentoring: Our mentoring program provides personalized guidance and support to help children and young people navigate various challenges and transitions in their lives.

    Supervised Transport: We ensure safe and reliable transportation services to facilitate essential appointments, visits, and activities, ensuring continuity and stability in their lives.

    Daytime Respite: Our daytime respite services offer a supportive environment where children and young people can engage in recreational activities, receive emotional support, and build valuable social connections.

    Overnight Respite: Our overnight respite program provides a nurturing and safe space for children and young people, offering a break from the demands of their daily lives while ensuring their well-being and security.

Disability Services (NDIS)

  • Treehouse is accredited by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to offer therapeutic support services. We are dedicated to empowering individuals living with disability to exercise greater choice and control over their NDIS plan.

    Our range of services aligns with the principles of the NDIS, focusing on individualised support and promoting community inclusion. Whether it's providing Behavior Support Services to assist individuals in managing challenging behaviors, or offering Support Coordination to help navigate the complexities of the NDIS, we are committed to ensuring that our clients receive the assistance they need.

    We also facilitate Community Participation, recognizing the value of social engagement and meaningful connections in enhancing well-being. Additionally, our Supported Transitional Accommodation (STA) and Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) options provide safe and comfortable living environments for those requiring temporary support.

    Furthermore, our Supported Independent Living (SIL) Accommodation services offer tailored support to individuals striving for greater independence, promoting choice and control in their daily lives.
